Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hostal Costa Azul in the heart of Granada, and let me tell you, it was a little slice of paradise! The charm of this early 20th-century three-storey building, with its stunning courtyard and bubbling fountain, provided the perfect retreat from the summer heat, creating a refreshing oasis every time I stepped outside my room. Conveniently located 50 meters from bustling Plaza del Carmen, we could easily walk to the mesmerizing Alhambra Palace and the vibrant local markets, which was a joyful way to soak up the culture of this beautiful city. The highlight of our stay was definitely Encarni, the incredible host, who welcomed us warmly and provided invaluable insights into local attractions and dining spots—her genuine enthusiasm made our trip even more special! The cozy room we stayed in had all the comforts we needed, like a pillow menu and air-conditioning, ensuring restful nights after our city explorations. And don't even get me started on the fresh flowers and traditional ‘azulejo' tiles decorating the courtyard—you can feel the history and culture surrounding you. Hostal Costa Azul was an exceptional base for our adventures, and for anyone traveling to Granada who appreciates authentic hospitality and a prime location, I can't recommend it enough!
